Yes, we were here, in Bologna, for the World Cup!
Our train arrived from Lausanne at about 5 PM. Our friend Emanuele met us at the station, from where we went to our hotel and then out to dinner (major yum yum). After dinner we watched the Italy-France game in the Piazza Maggiore. This in the "major plaza" in the center of Bologna in the heart of the old city. We stood in the middle of the packed piazza watching the game on a big projected screen. Can you imagine the celebration after the winning final kick? My ears are still ringing. Enjoy the pics.
