The street is Queens Gate.

This is the actual entrace to the dorm.

This is a side street neighborhood. The area she lives in is the west end, specifically: Kensington.

From what I can see, not a lot of poor folk in this area of London.

This building is on one of corners of Queens Gate Street.

On my first day here we visited London Bridge.

Mikayla's London neighborhood. I believe her dorm apartment is on the right side, one of those entrances with the white pillars (thank you google maps!!). A very short walk (~ 0.1 miles) from one of the largest parks in London (Kensington Park, and Hyde Park: google it and be jealous!).

Hey Family, it's been a while, huh? After getting super frustrated with Facebook and talking to dear knowledgeable and beautiful Kristin, I decided to post some photos on here from my recent trip to Mexico with Stephen. On a side note, I think it's time we brought back posting tothis site!

This is a cenote, or sink hole that we went swimming in. Absolutely amazing, waterfall in the middle, vines hanging down, and fish swimming with us. Amazing.

I just tried loading more photos, and my computer crashed, again, so this one photo will have to keep you entertained. Going to throw my computer out the window now. Any ideas why this keeps happening?!

Dana gave me my Christmas present early. She insisted that I had to open the box now and it could not wait 2 months. Once I picked up the box, it was easy to guess why.

Now we have to name them. We added a third (yes, I know, we're nuts). Two males and a female and we need names. So far: Mickey, Minnie and Goofy or Tom, Dick and Jane. Suggestions? How about Justin, Tim and Sam?

Red Deer Farm at Rolling Hills

Father's Day came one day early for me this year. On Saturday at 8 AM Dana, Laura and I left for Catawissa, PA to visit the Red Dear Farm at Rolling Hills. It was a beautiful ride through rural PA, almost 2 hours due north from our house. We learned about the farm at the annual PA State Farm Show in January. It was recommended that we vist this time of year since the antlers on the stags are at their peak and are still velvet covered. They feature tours from a tractor-drawn cart. We were the first tour of they day. Beautiful deer, but they ate like pigs. Here's their website:

I am back from Hawaii, tanned and relaxed! I would move out there in a second (don't worry, I'm not...that would require taking another bar exam)

We had a great time! We stayed in West Maui but drove all along the coast to areas in Northern and Southern Maui as well. All of it was equally beautiful. I think the pictures speak for themselves! Some highlights of the trip included an authentic Luau, a sunset dinner cruise, eating my body weight in pineapples (sooo yummy!!) and snorkeling and seeing adorable sea turtles! We barely scratched the surface of things to see and do there, so I am hoping we will go back again. I think I saw more sun last week than I've seen since I was a little kid spending a week at the Cape! I am seeing freckles I forgot I had! To everyone who went to Mexico, hope you had as wonderful a time as I did in Hawaii. Love you all!

If anyone wants to see more pictures, I might have taken a few (ahem, 500ish) more and they are all on Snapfish, so email me and I will send you the link. Clearly excessive picture taking is a genetic disease.

I'm sure this is one that everyone will appreciate-- Dad in the hospital after our fateful ice hockey day. It was one heck of a scary afternoon but he's all better! He still gives the thumbs up:)

This past weekend, Adam's parents came to visit. It was freaking cold so we needed an indoor activity. We decided to go to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in Times Square. This the closest I've been to a celebrity since moving here :-( It was a lot of fun! You can get up close and pose with the figures! It was a fun way to spend a cold day.

I recently went to get a picture framed at a local frame shop, Some Saturday Frame Shop. The owner, Stu, liked my work and offered to display several of my photos in his new gallery. So now several of my photos are on display. He frames them and pays me my commission if they sell. Imagine my surprise when I learned that my first print sold before he had a chance to frame it. It was the photo of Jason Bay getting hit by a pitch. So now I just have to do this for the rest of my life to get the money back I paid for my camera gear!

Hello everyone, I decided to be the first post for the new year, since it's been a while. It was so wonderful to see everyone over the holidays, and I can't wait until the next time I see everyone.

I wanted to share my upcoming vacation as well! Stephen and I are going to Santa Cruz de Tenerife for five days in March. This is an island off the coast of Africa, right next to the Gran Canaries, just next to the Sahara Desert. Weather should be around 80 deg :o)

Jealous yet!? I think I deserve it after all this rain!

Hey Fam!
Just thought I'd put up some pictures from Friday at Fenway. We made it into the city with no problems and found our way to Pag's. It was awesome and we ate sooooo much food. From there we decided that we'd walk to the stadium. It ended up being more of a run but we made it without getting lost (Nic has some sick sense of direction). The game was a blast and they won:) We made it out of the city with no problems as well. All in all it was a perfect night! I also discovered that I'm less than 2 1/2 hours from the city. Here are a few of the pictures I took. Dad, the picture of the pitch...check out the middle of the screen. I caught the ball! Eat your heart out. Little tiny camera from the back of the stadium:)

For Father's Day, I bought Daddy tickets to the BC vs. Kent State Football game on Saturday, September 13. Mikayla, Dad and I all went and had a great time (and a nice trip to Pag's and Mike's afterwards of course!)

Before the game, we headed to BC early for Alumni Fan Fest. I could not resist the opportunity to get my face painted. For some reason, Mikayla did not like my choice in face paint!

BC won 34-7 and we all had a great day before I left for New york!!

Speaking of, this post is coming from my new apartment in the financial district of Manhattan!!! Dad drove me down on Sunday afternoon and left last night. The apartment is great, but very unfurnished. We are expecting our first furniture delivery this afternoon!! Hotel LaRock-Scaduto is now accepting reservations for visitors :-)

Hey family! I just thought I would post an update on the new law school life. So far, I'm loving it! I've made some fantastic friends already and am trying to stay up on my work. I have an hour and a half between each class Mon, Wed, and Fri so I'm hitting the library to get a jump on the homework they've just assigned. We'll see how it goes. So far it feels like Dickinson. Small and a lot of work:)
Orientation week was awesome. When we discovered that you don't actually need to attend all of the lectures we started exploring the South Royalton area. I went tubing down the White River ( and am still a little banged up from this), cliff diving at Pothole (terrifying and again, banged up), have tried out some cider distilleries, and had a dinner party at my house Saturday night before exploring the night life in Hanover (there isn't one). I've adopted two cats. Moose and Stowe. Both of their pictures are on facebook now. They're both quite the lovers...Moose just happens to be harder to lift when she wants to be cuddled.
I've met two of my 6 professors this morning. My contracts prof seems hilarious. Very dry sense of humor. My torts professor is young and a columnist for Sports Illustrated. Needless to say, there were a ton of sports analogies in class. I think I'll like the subject matter a lot. Contracts I could go without. BORING.
So there's my life in the last week...back to homework:)

Adam and I spent our Spring Break in New York City. On our last morning, we went to Rockefeller Center and watched the Today Show being taped. Here are some pictures! Donald Trump was one of the guests and he came outside and shook hands with most of the crowd, but he did not get to where Adam and I were standing. But Meredith Viera came over and took pictures with everyone. We were actually on TV, but I did not DVR it. Mikayla watched it- she can be my witness!

The Londonderry High School Marching Band is embarking on a new adventure!!!! In January of 2009, we will be going to the Inaugural Parade!!! We had passed in an application about two months ago and as of last night it was became definite. We and a bunch of other bands around the country were chosen out of over 1,500 bands. I think we will be leaving that sunday or monday and we will be getting back on wednesday, the day after the parade. Thank goodness I became a band geek!!

New Zealand!

Hey fam, just got back monday from a 16 day trip to New Zealand with Stephen. We did so many activities, they're hard to keep straight. I'll try to show most of them!

<-- this is a picture from the Glacier hike we did in Franz Joseph. It is in the south island, and it was an 8 hour hike through ice tunnels and all. Very cold!

This is from the Polynesian Spa in Rotorura. It is one of the top ten spas in the world! They have natural salt springs and are known for their rich mud. This town smelt like sulfur because its an active volcano town? weird huh? The ground was smoking everywhere!

We also got our own mountain biking guide in Rotorura. The trails were AWESOME some of the best mountian biking in the world. They had great windy narrow paths with jumps and everything, definatly a thrill!

This is right before our SKY DIVE!!! This was in Taupo, the cheapest place in New Zealand, and we lived, so we also think its the best. ALthough I don't have any pictures of me jumping out of the plane at 12,oo0 feet, i have a dvd that we can all watch when I'm home! It's pretty funny to see my face while I'm falling... you can see straight up my nose.

We couldn't exactly take pictures of us swimming with the dolphins, but this is before we jumped in. We got to swim with about 150-200 Dusky Dolphins! It was so great, they swam all around us and played. I got super sick and fed them on the way home haha but it was great!

I can't put everything up here, but thats a few of the things we did. I recomend everyone go there someday!

Hi fam! I thought i would post some pics I took at an Obama Rally last month. Obama came to New Hampshire and held 2 rallys, one of which was right down the street at New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. My friend Kiera cancelled her birthday party to go (only a law student would cancel their own birthday party to go to a political rally!) and invited me to come along. I originally turned her down because i had too much work to do, but i figured that i would not get the chance to see our future president speak again, so I might as well take it! Yes Dad- i said future president, GET OVER IT! We waited outside in the rain for 2 hours, and then another 2 hours inside to see him, but it was well worth it. We had great spots (not seats, since we were standing the whole time!!) and he even came over and shook our hands afterwards.

Hey there everyone! Made it okay to Australia- I've just been setteling in and getting my classes started. I first visited Cairns in the north, pronounced CANS where it was warmer and I got to see these cute kangaroos and visit the great barrier reef! It's quite cold here in Sydney right now, but hopefully it will warm up soon! Here's some pictures including a picture from the Sydney Opera House! Enjoy! love you all and miss you!

Mikayla’s First Car

After a little searching (understatement) we found Mikayla a nice first car: a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE. Picked it up Saturday morning; Sunday morning Mikayla and I gave it the royal treatment – wash, wax, windows, and tires.

All bought and paid for (by Mikayla no less). Only one thing left - Mikayla has to learn how to drive a standard.

Seems everyone knows these two games: Guitar Hero, and Rock Band.

But do you know the CEO of the company responsible for these games?

Well, I just found out the other day that I actually do know him. Never realized until someone at work pointed out an article in Time magazine on-line.

His name is Alex Rigopulos. His farther, Peter, was the first president of Amicon's Life Science Division. Alex worked for me one summer while on break from college.

His father was a genius, and it would appear the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Way to go Alex!!

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd put up some pictures from my trip over to Ireland to see Stephen this Christmas. I had a wonderful time, but I did miss everyone, and I was thinking of you while looking at the green grass and relaxing in the pubs! Stephen sends his love as well to everyone. <-- This was a night out in Cork where i got to meet up with some friends from Millipore that I met over the summer. Below are the friends.

<-- This was New Years. We went to Kilarney with Stephen's brother and Al his wife, and a bunch of friends for the weekend celebrations. It was great craic!

<-- This is from my "Trad Session" in Cork. Translation- a group of musicians that play traditional irish music in the pub. It was really a great experience and I had a really fun time doing it. I would love for it to be a regular thing!

Of course I made Stephen take me to some touristy places. This is the house at Muckross Abbey in Kilarney. Nice crib !
